Bean beetles, packed in a square plastic container.
Bean beetles (Callosobruchus cf. maculatus) are an excellent food animal for small reptiles, fish and amphibians (such as poison frogs and salamanders).
In addition, the beetles float on the surface of the water for quite a long time and attract the attention of fish and
newts with their splashing.
In this way, bean beetles are an alternative to red moth larvae.
For optimal health of your terrarium animals, vary the diet by offering different types of food animals and powder the food animals with calcium and vitamin/mineral supplements before feeding.
These are also available on our website.
